A funeral mass was held July 3 at St. Michael Church, Jersey City, for Domingo Aviles, 84, of Jersey City. He passed away June 30 at his residence. Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, he lived in Jersey City since 1947. Domingo served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, serving from 1953-1955, receiving both a Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a hard working man, labored all his life, having last worked for Dixon Mills Crucible Co. for over 20 years, and retiring from Alfa Metals of Jersey City.

He was predeceased by his parents Modesto and Maria L. Aviles. He was the husband of Maria C. Rivera, father of Fernando and Freddie, grandfather of Albertina, Jacquline, Kelsy, and Nikki and great grandfather of 5 and 1 great great grandchild. Services arranged by the Introcaso Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
