A funeral mass was offered July 21 at St. Ann’s RC Church, Hoboken, for Gloria Valenzuela, of Hoboken. She passed away July 17. She was the widow of the late Eduardo; mother of Eduardo, Luis, Amelia Rosenbaum, Maria Bruschi, Gloria Torres, and Carolina Vera; sister of Rosario Vasquez and the late Luis Araujo. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1927, Gloria came to Hoboken in 1962 and resided there until her passing. A retired seamstress for the Mona Lisa Clothing Company and a member of the International Ladies Garment Union, Gloria devoted her life to her children and late husband as well as her grandchildren Emily, Joshua, Benjamin, Adina Soniker, and Shaimon, Eduardo, Jason, Kristen, Erin Kaye, Carolina, Louis, Dairen, Michael, Oscar, Gloria, and Alfredo. Mrs. Valenzuela especially shared the great joy of her great grandchildren Aiden, Amanda, Anais, Caleb, Judah, Lara, Dylan, and Aimee. She will be missed by her sons-in-law Alfredo, Harold, and Darien. Gloria often mentioned the loss of her son-in-law Kenneth Bruschi. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
