A funeral mass was offered Aug. 9 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Frank L. Trombetta, 84, of Seaside Park, formerly of Hoboken. He passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at the Community Medical Center in Toms River on Aug. 5. Mr. Trombetta was the founder and owner of the Trombetta Construction Company for many years which was located at 704 Adams Street in Hoboken. Besides general construction work he specialized in the restoration of many historical bank buildings in Hudson County, particularly in Hoboken and Jersey City.

Frank was a proud United States Army veteran, serving from 1948-1950. Surviving are his wife, Anne; his sons, Frank and his wife Cheryl, Nicholas and his wife Josephine, and a third son also named Frank and his wife Meagan; a sister, Anna Balacco; his grandchildren, Frank Jr., Alexis Cossolini, Jenna Worthington, Tia, Dana, Angela, Michael, Matthew, and Tiberius; and their spouses John, Randy, and Amanda; along with four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by two brothers, James and Carmine Trombetta; and a sister, Martha Goldsack. Frank was the former husband of Antoinette Yaccarino Trombetta. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
