Dear Editor:

As a 5th Ward resident, I am enthused over my neighbor's candidacy for the Mayor. I have known Peter Cammarano and his wife Marita since they moved into the 5th Ward; and, like many of my 5th Ward neighbors, have relied heavily on Peter Cammarano as an active voice for the 5th Ward. Peter is responsive to citizen's concerns and proactive in seeking out feedback from his neighbors as to what are the issues we see and feel. I have often e-mailed the full City Council and quite typically only received a response from Peter Cammarano. I know that I can e-mail Peter Cammarano or knock on his door to discuss issues or concerns in the 5th Ward and that Peter has and will always take action, whether it is traffic safety (or other quality of life issues) or the appalling financial state Mayor Roberts has single-handedly compounded in his 8 years in office. I have heard from friends in other wards that they have often received responses from Councilman-At-Large Peter Cammarano over their own ward council member and we all appreciate having Peter Cammarano's representation for the 5th Ward and the full city of Hoboken.
