Dear Editor:
On Saturday May 2nd Jersey City said “see you later” to a good friend and a great family man, Joe Carroll. He touched the lives of many with his guidance and kindness but mostly with his humor. Thanks for the good times Joe.
Here on earth, he was compassionate and full of Love. When hanging out with him, one always felt at home. Mr. Carroll was not only a gentleman, he was a gentle man. With a selfless nature, lovely as a budding flower, his smile was that of a soft summer breeze. He was respectful and responsible and always had time for a hello.
Born and raised in Jersey City, he was a member of the first graduating class of Hudson Catholic. He worked like a horse and sang like a frog; but seriously, had the bluest eyes and strongest voice. Jersey City will miss Joe Carroll now but will “see you later.”
