JERSEY CITY – A Bayonne Flyer light rail train struck and killed a man on the tracks between Richard Street and Danforth Avenue after 9 a.m. on Friday.

The train was heading from Bayonne through Jersey City and the accident happened between stations.

A passenger who was on the train said that after the impact, the driver of the train stopped the train and was crying. Other transit workers came to help her off the train.
