Man charged with simple assault

On April 14 at 9:38 p.m. Officer Marco Grossman and Special Police Officer Matt Rossi arrested Jersey City resident Julian Villafane, 22, and charged him with terroristic threats, harassment, and simple assault.

Officers Rossi and Grossman were dispatched to Fourth and Adams streets on a report of an individual allegedly threatening store employees. As the officers arrived they found the staff following Villafane. After they investigated further they determined Villafane had entered the store in the past and allegedly shoplifted items. He was told he was not welcome and was asked to leave. Before he left he allegedly threatened the staff and allegedly punched a person in the face. He was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing before he was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

Intoxicated out of towner charged with drug possession

Bayonne resident David Intriago-Baque, 23, was charged on April 14 with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of bail jumping.

Around 10:26 p.m., Officers Luke Zezsotarski, David Dimartino, and Tyrone Huggins were dispatched to Seventh and Washington streets on the report of a disturbance inside a local donut shop. The officers arrived to find Intriago-Baque allegedly highly intoxicated and yelling at passersby. He was issued a summons for disorderly conduct by Dimartino. Due to his alleged level of intoxication, an ambulance was called and he was transported to Hoboken University Medical Center. While at the hospital, officers found a small clear bag of suspected marijuana allegedly in his possession. He was also found to have two outstanding warrants from Bayonne and the city of Hoboken. He was later remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
