A funeral mass was celebrated Sept. 1 at the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River, for Michael S. Zdrodowski. He passed away Aug. 28. He was born in Jersey City. Michael was a teacher for Jersey City Public Schools for 31 years. He earned a masters degree in educational administration and supervision. He was also retired from the United States Post Office in Jersey City. Michael lived in East Rutherford during his career and moved to Forked River in 2013. Michael was known as “Mike” to all his family and friends. He was a movie buff, loved crossword puzzles, and was a big fan of the Mets and the Jets. He was a talented mechanic and very handy with tools. Mike was extremely generous and helped everyone whenever they needed it. Mike loved his family tremendously and was an especially proud grandpa.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Sigmund and Helen Zdrodowski, his son-in-law Christopher Vidro, and brother-in-law Frank Messano. He leaves behind his wife Patricia, his daughter Toni Lyn, his grandchildren Dylan and Megan, his mother-in-law Rosemarie Messano, and his two brothers, Thomas and Walter Zdrodowski.
