A funeral service was held Jan. 28 for Angel Miguel, 94. He passed away Jan. 24. He was born in ‘San Luis’ Oriente, Cuba. His parents Angel and Felicia Miguel were from ‘Castilla la Vieja’, Salamanca, Espana. He is survived by his wife Mercedes Miguel, children Katherine, Angel, Leslie and stepdaughter Janet as well as five grandchildren: Daniel, Jesse, Brandon, Elise, Grace and step-grandsons Michael and Jonathan. Angel immigrated to the US from Cuba in 1961, fleeing communism, and quickly embraced the American dream. He was employed by General Motors for 40+ years, making the long trek from WNY. to Bensalem, Pa. every day. He was incredibly hard-working, at times holding 2+ jobs to support his family. A sharp dresser and dancer, Angel was the life of the party. He was a devout Catholic, strong in his beliefs. Loved and respected by all who knew him, especially his family, he will be greatly missed.
