Union workers at nursing homes throughout the area are scheduled to go out on strike on Aug. 6. Picket lines are expected to be set up in front of three facilities in Hudson County owned and operated by Omni Healthcare: Haborview in Jersey City, Castle in Union City, and Palisades in Guttenberg. Although Omni is currently constructing a new facility in Bayonne, no strikers are expected to picket at that location.
