With Labor Day – and the end of the season – right around the corner, the Reporter surveyed Weehawken residents to find out how passed their summer.

The Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center’s (HRPAC) summer concert series was a big hit among residents, and the final concert last Wednesday night attracted hundreds of people to Weehawken’s picturesque waterfront. The Sam Bush Band, a bluegrass band from Nashville, Tenn., was on hand to entertain the crowds. Producer of the series Bruce Sherman was excited to host the three-time Grammy-Award winner in Weehawken.

“Presenting Sam Bush and his band was the perfect way to end an incredible summer concert season,” Sherman said. ”They give such a high energy show; it almost marks the transition from the lazy days of summer into Labor Day. This is what summer music festivals and live music is all about.”

Here’s what people had to say about what they did this summer.
