BAYONNE--Vincent Alessi, 42, Bayonne, was among 22 people arrested in Staten Island on Wednesday in what the New York Attorney General's office is calling "a major mob bust."
The raids that took place at rush hour on Wednesday also snagged two alleged leaders of the Gambino crime family's loansharking and gambling ring. Alessi is part of a prominent Bayonne family which owns several businesses and a large amount of property.
