HOBOKEN -- In what is usually the political hobnobbing event of the summer, real estate developer and former Board of Education member Frank "Pupie" Raia of Hoboken threw a party for the public Thursday night in honor of his birthday, and hundreds turned out. A sausage and cheesesteak vendor doled out the goodies while politicians and regular folks swapped stories in the heat.
As for music, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels were scheduled to perform. No one throws a party like Pupie!
