HOBOKEN AND UNION CITY – A 13-year-old boy from Union City was arrested this weekend after two other kids were shot with a BB gun.

First, police were dispatched to the courtyard of 15 Church Towers on Friday on a report of a juvenile in possession of an air pistol.

A parent there told police that his son, 12, was shot in the left side of his torso with a pellet from a blue air pistol. The boy had a small welt and was not in need of an ambulance, according to his father.

Around the same time a Hoboken girl, 13, was shot in the left thigh with a BB pellet as well.

A name of a male was given to police, and they located the alleged shooter and his father in Union City and brought him into headquarters. He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The arrested teen has been at the Juvenile Detention Center and was expected in Family Court for a hearing on Monday.
